An explosion of success characterized in the first day of the Plovdiv 2023 European Individual Championships for Italian fencing.
Italian athletes wrote an indelible page in the history of the sport, bringing home six medals. A triumphant victory including two precious Golds and a podium completely dominated by the tricolor in Women’s Foil.
A sign that Italy has not only excelled in Europe, but has proven to be a global force: as stated by Paolo Azzi, President of the Italian Fencing Federation.
Future Champions Camp’ Champions and Staff were at the center of this day of victories.

In WOMEN’S FOIL category, two of our long-time staff members climb the rankings until they challenge each other on the platform: ALICE VOLPI and MARTINA FAVARETTO.
“A victory requires continuous, constant training on and off the platform, physical but also mental. Yes, because the mind must also be trained, prepared to deal with difficulties, disappointments, fears, anxieties, trained to manage emotions to be able to never give up” are Martina Favaretto’s words that can really convey her determination to achieve her goals.

We are overjoyed by their excellent performances, but at the same time we are not surprised by their outstanding results: both continue to be stars for the future champs who meet them in our camps.

Men’s Epee – Federico Vismara wins the silver medal
An extraordinary one-two made by Italian colors in the final Men’s Epee competition. Davide Di Veroli and Federico Vismara duel was an unforgettable spectacle, culminating in a breathtaking 15-14 Di Veroli’s victory.
Silver Medal, FEDERICO VISMARA has collaborated and joined FCC long ago: last year was within our Staff in Seattle Camp. He shares with us the need to drive new energy to fencing sporting world for younger generations and we are so proud of his own achievements!
